Segun OLUGBOYEGUN (Formerly Segun Fagboyegun) is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JOF Nigeria Limited, a trading company, 3PL Logistics service provider with interests in real estate and investments in other businesses. A business he started in 1993.

JOF has a division that manufactures/processes industrial and edible salt as well as other intermediate food ingredients which are supplied to some manufacturers in the food and beverage industry such as Nestle, Unilever, Promasidor, etc.

JOF was recognised in 2014 by the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan as one of the 100 big businesses in Nigeria along with Shell Petroleum Development Company Plc, Nestle Nigeria Plc, Nigerian Breweries Plc, and others.

Segun is a qualified Barrister at Law and holds a University of London Masters degree, having attended King’s College London, (University of London), where he specialised in Maritime Law in 1990 after his first degree (L.L.B Hons) from University of Ile-Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) in 1984. He also bagged a BL from Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1985.

His working experience has straddled the gamut of legal practice and international commerce. As a legal practitioner, he was Counsel in the firm of Chief Fola Akinrinsola & Co. (1986 – 89) and later, principal partner in Segun Fagboyegun & Associates (1990 – 93). He was the Assistant Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos branch between 1988 & 89. He is a recipient of the Award of Excellence from the Nigerian Bar Association, Owo Branch and a Life Patron of the Association as well.

He attended Transforming Corporate Leadership Conference organised by Dr. John C. Maxwell & Associates in 2004.

In 2006, he attended the popular Finance For Non-Finance Directors’ course at the London Business School, and later the Managing Directors course organised by London Institute of Directors. In 2013, he attended a course in Strategies and Leadership in Supply Chains at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in California USA. He was awarded the Honorary Doctoral Degree (Honoris Causa), Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in 2019 by Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Ondo State, Nigeria.

He is presently an Executive Council Member of the International Chamber of Commerce, Nigeria and also the Vice-Chair of the Global ICC Commission on Customs and Trade Facilitation. He is a member of the Institute of Directors of London. He is the Chairman of Tulip Cocoa Processing Company Limited, a foremost Cocoa Processing Company in Nigeria; a subsidiary of Ampimex International BV, one of the major cocoa products supplier/trader in Europe and also the Chairman of Agrifa International Limited, an agro-allied company presently investing in Oil Palm & Plantain Plantation in Ogun State. This is borne out of his interest and in the belief that with the growing population in Nigeria, there is a need to ensure adequate food security. He is a director of Ondo State Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA) and Ondo State Education Trust Fund.

He is married with children. He enjoys reading, skiing and watching football.
